Exhibitor Spotlight: Liebherr
A show regular since 2016, Liebherr is back with a host of new equipment for this year’s show.
Liebherr, founded in 1949 by Hans Liebherr, began its journey with the invention of the first mobile tower crane, the TK 10. The company rapidly expanded its product portfolio and in 1956 started the manufacture of concrete production and transportation equipment.
Today, Liebherr, a family-run business for 75 years, is a global leader in the design and manufacture of premium products for a diverse range of industries, including aerospace, refrigeration, and construction.
As a preferred supplier for many leading companies in the UK concrete industry, Liebherr specialises in high-quality equipment, including truck mixers, mixing plants, pumps, wheel loaders, and plant control systems, providing economical production, trouble-free transportation, and reliable concrete installation.
A UK Concrete Show regular since 2016, Liebherr will be back once again in 2024, showcasing its commitment to engaging with the industry.
“The upcoming 2024 event is viewed as an opportunity to strengthen existing relationships with current customers and initiate conversations with potential clients,” says Gwyn Stephenson, marketing manager at Liebherr GB.
For this year’s show, Liebherr will be throwing the spotlight on its 36 XXA truck-mounted pump, which features a five-part multi-fold distribution boom. The 36 XXA offers a remarkable unfolded height of 7.2m, a vertical reach of 35.8m, and a horizontal reach of 31.5m.
Liebherr's truck-mounted pumps stand out with XXA outriggers, ensuring a safe working range in every situation, even allowing for pumping over the operator's cab in narrow support conditions. Also on the company’s stand will be the tried and tested HTM 905 truck mixer, which is renowned for its reliability, safety, efficiency, and robustness.
Looking ahead the company foresees market trends indicating a levelling out of demand for concrete transportation equipment in the next 12 months. Conversely, it is predicted an upswing in demand for concrete production machinery, with many customers upgrading to more energy-efficient plants.
With an eye on future responsibilities and regulations, the company recognizes the feasibility of achieving and embracing a Net Zero future requires significant changes in production, transportation, and pumping processes, alongside innovations in material manufacturing and distribution.
“Despite the challenges,” says Gwyn Stephenson, “Liebherr is confident in the industry's ability to transition towards a sustainable and Net Zero future.”
