Unique Concrete Solutions

Unique Concrete Solutions will use the UK Concrete Show 2026 to showcase Moxie Shield 1800, an integral liquid concrete admixture designed to control moisture vapour, water migration and alkali efflorescence from within the concrete itself.

Added directly to the concrete mix, Moxie Shield 1800 is a ready-to-use admixture suitable for all forms of cementitious construction. During hydration, it reacts with the by-products of cement curing, converting free lime into higher-density cementitious materials. This process reduces capillary pathways within the concrete, limiting internal moisture movement and improving long-term durability.

As the concrete cures, an integral colloidal gel membrane forms within the matrix, helping control moisture vapour transmission, reduce surface evaporation and improve resistance in freeze–thaw conditions. Because protection is built into the concrete, the system removes the need for surface-applied coatings or sealers.

The product is suited to structural concrete, foundations and below-grade construction, moisture-critical and water-retaining structures, and projects requiring integral waterproofing. It can be used on large-scale commercial and industrial schemes as well as smaller remedial applications where damp or moisture ingress is a concern.

Unique Concrete Solutions works closely with contractors and specifiers to support correct product selection, reviewing site conditions and performance requirements where needed to ensure solutions address how moisture behaves within concrete, rather than relying on surface-level fixes.
