Senior Principal and Associate Professor Dr. Ali Riza Erson is a geotechnical engineer with a wealth of knowledge in bioengineering applications and sustainable building materials. He presently directs and participates in significant national and international research projects as a scientific researcher at Istanbul Yeditepe University and as a visiting professor and researcher at the University of Exeter (UK).

Low-carbon building, circular economy tactics, recycled and alternative binders, bio-based soil and concrete technologies, and sustainable geotechnical solutions are the main topics of his study. In addition to actively working with academic and industry partners, Dr. Erson has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and led and co-directed large-scale financed projects, such as TÜBİTAK and Green Deal-aligned initiatives.
