A Senior Materials Engineer specialising in concrete technology, currently working with Balfour Beatty Major Projects. With over 35 years of industry experience, George has spent half of his career abroad, primarily in the Middle East, before returning to the UK in 2013. During his time overseas, he had the privilege of contributing to several iconic projects, including the Burj Khalifa, Palm Island, Atlantis, and the Dubai Light Railway. Presently, George works as the Concrete Technical Manager for the BBV project in the northern area of HS2, overseeing a structural concrete volume exceeding 2 million cubic meters.
