Dr Vaishnav Kumar Shenbagam

Research Fellow, School of Civil Engineering, University of Leeds
Vaishnav Kumar Shenbagam is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds, where he specialises in developing sustainable construction materials. His current research focuses on low-carbon binders, specifically the synthesis of belitic calcium sulfoaluminate (BCSA) cement as a scalable alternative to conventional Portland cement. He holds a PhD  specialising in construction materials from IIT Madras and brings over eight years of experience in cement chemistry and concrete technology, bridging fundamental materials science and practical, scalable solutions for the built environment.
