Meet the speakers | New advances in CEVO Digital: data-led decisions and carbon visibility
The Oxford Science Park shows how data-driven collaboration and digital tools are enabling clearer carbon visibility and more sustainable concrete delivery on site.

As part of our Meet the speakers series for The UK Concrete Show 2026, we’re spotlighting key sessions from the Concrete Connect Seminar Theatre, starting with a programme focused on one of the sector’s most urgent priorities: delivering lower-carbon concrete in practice.

Wednesday’s opening session, From specification to site: sustainable concrete in practice, brings together policy, specification, digital innovation and real-world project delivery to explore how the concrete sector is translating net-zero ambition into measurable outcomes on site.

As part of this session Joe Kirwin, Christopher Wellgreen and Lisa von Graevenitz will present New advances in CEVO Digital: data-led decisions and carbon visibility, exploring how intelligent technology is enabling smarter, faster and more sustainable decision-making across construction projects. Attendees will gain insight into how Mix AI is transforming complex, real-time project data into actionable intelligence, supporting more informed mix design and greater certainty around cost, carbon and programme delivery.

The presentation will also introduce Converge’s new data hub, which brings multiple data streams into a single connected platform. This integration enables clear, consistent reporting on carbon reductions, helping project teams track performance against sustainability targets and demonstrate measurable progress towards net-zero ambitions.

Meet the speakers:

Joe Kirwin – Tarmac

Joe is Commercial Manager for Tarmac’s London South East RMX business, where he works with customers to identify early opportunities for low-carbon concrete solutions. He was involved in the first delivery of CEVO Digital and is leading discussions around the digitalisation of concrete, bringing a supply-chain perspective on how data can support the transition to lower-carbon specification.

Christopher Wellgreen – J Coffey Group

Christopher is Sustainability, Carbon and Systems Manager at J Coffey Group, with responsibility for embedding carbon and digital systems into project delivery. He will share insights from the Oxford Science Park project, offering a contractor’s perspective on how data-led approaches are shaping decision-making on live construction programmes and supporting more transparent carbon outcomes.

Lisa von Graevenitz – Converge

Lisa is EMEA Account Director at Converge, where she oversees strategic relationships with key customers and supports the deployment of data-driven solutions across construction projects. She will outline how connected data platforms can improve carbon visibility, strengthen reporting and support more confident decision-making across the built environment.

The 2026 Concrete Connect Seminar Theatre will deliver insight from 20+ industry experts alongside a series of specialist panels exploring the forces reshaping the concrete sector.

Hosted by Susannah Streeter, sessions over the two-day programme will cover:

  • Case studies showcasing the latest technology driving decarbonisation across the sector

  • The emerging role of advanced carbons in concrete and what it means for industry

  • Updates from The Concrete Society on TR74: Cementitious materials

  • Digital concrete maturity monitoring to establish element strength for identity testing

  • Sustainable precast by design and practical pathways to lower-carbon concrete

  • Innovative solutions to manage the deterioration of RAAC concrete

  • Attracting, developing and retaining new talent in the concrete industry

The full line-up of speakers will be announced soon.
