Shaping a more sustainable concrete infrastructure: watch the Wednesday lunchtime session from UKCS 2026

UKCS 2026 Wednesday lunchtime session

Following the release of the opening morning session, we’re pleased to share that the lunchtime session from Wednesday’s seminar programme at this year’s UK Concrete Show is now available to watch on demand.

Delivered in the Concrete Connect Seminar Theatre, this session explores how advanced carbon materials, including graphene, are being applied to enhance concrete performance and sustainability, with a focus on real-world testing, scale-up and adoption.

Chaired by Susannah Streeter, the session features contributions from Chirag RatwaniMike Harrison and Lisa Scullion, representing Advanced Carbons Council, Concretene and Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre.

The session covers:

  • The emerging role of advanced carbons in concrete and what it means for industry

  • Cost-effective graphene solutions and pathways to commercial scale

  • Translating graphene research from lab to live construction projects

  • A panel discussion on performance, testing and adoption timelines

Whether you joined us at the NEC or couldn’t make it this year, this is a valuable opportunity to catch up on one of the key discussions shaping the future of the concrete sector.
