Exhibitors are being targeted by companies claiming to be, or work with, The QMJ Group and The UK Concrete Show. They use existing event branding and may appear genuine. The services offered include directory listings and hotel bookings, increasingly, companies are now also claiming they can sell visitor data from the event. This is not the case.
We advise Exhibitors to be vigilant, read the small print and inform your exhibition, marketing and finance teams about the risk of scams. If you in any doubt as to the validity of any correspondence you receive, please contact us.
The QMJ Group does not sell visitor databases and any company claiming they hold this data is fraudulent.
Organisations such as Event Fair, FairGuide.com/Construct Data Verlag, Expo Guide (Mexico) and International Fairs Directory (Portugal) are targeting exhibitors with their misleading directory services. Unsuspecting exhibitors who sign and return the form are then contracted into a three-year, non-retractable agreement, which could cost a significant amount of money.
